Consultancy

Preparation is key, therefore we recommend to agree on products, working methods and the cosmetic criteria before you start your product.

We will prepare all the documents you need to guarantee a smooth process. The most used documents for new builds and refits are:

Surveys

Whether you need a survey above the waterline, underwater hull, interior or tanks we can deliver. Findings of the survey will be documented in an understandable report that contains detailed explanation of the findings. Depending on the purpose of the survey the report will include conclusions and or recommendations.

Surveys can be carried out any time before, during or after work has been carried out to determine the condition of the coating / paint system, using specialized equipment and trained eyes.

Survey reports are tailor made documents. Based on your needs these reports can be used for the following purposes:

Initial survey - Refit quotations

Final acceptance survey - New build and Refit

Warranty survey - 1\2 year(s) after delivery

Maintenance survey - Be ahead of disaster

Inspections

Paint inspections can be carried out on regular basis and/or whilst the hold points on your new build or refit. During these inspections we can judge the surface preparation, paint application, the quality of workmanship and verify if all specification requirements are achieved. Depending on the needs we can attend your project full time.

Inspections are carried out using the latest technology with advanced instruments and equipment. Testing is always done in accordance with applicable standards. The field-test we perform on regular basis are:

Chloride testing
Surface roughness
Climatic conditions
Dry film thickness measurements
Shore D hardness
Cross cut adhesion testing
Pull off adhesion testing
etc

All our consultants are Frosio and RMCI Certified, highly experienced and fully familiar with the industry standards such as the International Standard Organization (ISO), American Society for Testing Materials (ASTM), ICOMIA, etc.
